Free From Easter Eggs

The other day I asked the other humany people in the house if we needed anything from Tesco and my son piped up that we needed eggs. I said that we had eggs but he said no eggs!!! He meant left over Easter eggs that were going cheap. Nice idea I thought, good man, taught him well over the years. So I went on a mission.

They had a lot of mini egg type things going cheap and no big eggs except for the last two remaining Free From eggs which said a lot really. I mean the poor dairy free, wheat and gluten free just gets left behind like no one ever wants a chocolate egg without milk eh?

Well I do and for a discounted price I bought the last two. This was obviously to make them feel they were just as good as the other dairy products and just as loved you understand. Well I have to say they are very nice. I haven't pigged them both but I have eaten one, honest!

I have to say that free from chocolate is very light, it doesn't make you feel as though you've eaten the whole of Cadbury's and it isn't sickly or rich. This may be a disadvantage as you can, in fact eat more I suppose, oops. The big egg was accompanied by some small truffle type chocolates which were equally nice, I mean it's chocolate isn't it? It's all nice.

You will notice the difference if you are a chocolate expert and know what you like but for those who have to stay away from the old dairy it's a good replacement. It looked nice in it's Tesco Finest packet and I thought I got a bargain. Would I have paid full price? Well not sure as I don't really have a problem, with full on, fully leaded milk chocolate but it was nice to try it.

That's the time to buy chocolate eggs, after Easter.....so cheap. Some are cheap anyway when they are released after Christmas so probably good to buy then. You never quite feel like it though when you've just stuffed yourself full of Celebrations and Quality Street after the festive period and it's always a shock to even think about Easter that early.

So I now need a low fat diet of some sort to get over the chocolate binge but hey I'm sure I'll work it of in some way. Bye to chocolate and hello salad.

Thank you fro reading today, please pop by tomorrow for Autism Support Saturday but for now take care.
