Woooooooo Hooooooooo! I'm excited. One thing I do miss now I'm on a gluten free diet is a good portion of chip shop fish and chips. So imagine my delight when I realised a local restaurant had a gluten free night AND it fell on my birthday too. Oh now I can die happy.
I was in heaven, beautiful battered fish goujons and gorgeous chips with a good portion of mushy peas on the side.. I also got treated to a gluten free dessert which the staff popped a birthday candle into for me, so kind.
I can really recommend this plaice oops I mean place.....(see what I did there). It is Ocean Fresh on The Parade in Mickleover. There is so much choice on the menu and it does include other gluten free options too if you don't particularly fancy fish and chips. The staff are super friendly and made us feel that welcome I think we will be going back.
It has kind of sat there on my doorstep this restaurant and I've only just got around to visiting.....what took ya so long Sue from the Brew??? Fun had by all and one very happy gluten free eater. If you would like any information about Ocean Fresh there website is:
restaurantsnapshot.com/OceanFresh/ you can access their Facebook page from there too.
Let me know if you have been here and what did you think? I'm still getting over. the fact I've just had chippy chips for the first time in ages. I'll be going back just to remind myself I really can eat it all again.
Thank you for reading today, pop back again tomorrow for Autism Support Saturday. For now though.....
