These biscuit breaks from Nairn's are blooming gorgeous. Now, you know what I have been like with my new little fetish on coconut just lately well I thought I would give these little beauties a go.
Nairn's have a few gluten free biscuits in their range and in nice flavours. The biscuits are wrapped in little handy packs of three which I like because I can just pop one in my handbag and they are there for an emergency snack. All snacks are an emergency to me, if I need to snack it has to happen straight away and these certainly help in that emergency situation. I also like that there are just three biscuits in a pack, some of these packs have too many in and you either force yourself to eat all of them ( I know hell eh?) or you decide to save some and are left with the fact that the packet usually doesn't re seal. Random biscuits floating around in a handbag is not acceptable especially if you forget and find them in a month covered in handbag fluff.....not good. There will never be a totally healthy biscuit but these do contain 35% less sugar, contain gluten free wholegrain oats which are high in fibre and are only 64 calories per biscuit so not bad for a snack and a change from fruit. It does say they are chunky but I think that is a bit misleading, they are a little bit thicker than other biscuits in their selection but if you are searching for serious chunkiness then you may be disappointed. They taste lovely and I think are the nicest ones in the Nairn's range that I have had the pleasure of eating. I do like that added coconut taste and a chocolate chip now and again. You can get a fruity version if that is your thing, they are available in oats, blueberries and raspberry flavour too. So give them a go if you haven't already and tell me what you think. Thank you so much for reading today, I will be back tomorrow for Autism Support Saturday but for now enjoy your biscuits and take care.
