A new strap for the Fit Bit

It came to that time, yes it had lasted about about a good year or so but my strap finally broke on my Fit Bit. That's not bad for the amount of use it gets, I was quite impressed that it lasted that long.

I looked on Amazon and found this pack of two straps for the Fit Bit Charge 2 for just £8.99. I chose the blue and purple but there are different colour combinations available and pack sizes. They are available in two sizes small or large - I ordered the large which fits 6.4" - 8.5" the small fits 5.3" - 7.1".

They are really easy to fit and just as good as the original strap that came with the Fit Bit. I'm happy with them and time will tell if they last as long as the previous strap but I'll keep you posted. I also like to purchase the screen protectors for my Fit Bit as I just don't want the screen to get scratched. Now in the past I've gone for the little sticky ones similar to the ones you would put on a mobile phone and they have been good. Sometimes they haven't lasted too long and start to peel off but most of the time they have lasted quite well.

This time I decided to order a protective shell which is like a silicon cover which fits over the main Fit Bit watch part. It is transparent and you can still operate your device by touchscreen but it does give it that added protection. I have found it to be very good, the only negative thing I'd say about it is that it is a bit of a faff if it needs cleaning as you do have to take the straps off to take it off every time. It's easily done though and once  cleaned you do just pop it back on which I suppose means it is going to last a lot longer than the stick on type - we'll see.

I was a bit sceptical about using these but I have got quite used to it. I thought it made the screen a little more bulky but it's ok and I'd rather my screen stay nice and new.

Here are the links (affiliated) for both these items from Amazon......

Let me know if you've had replacement straps and if you've had a good or bad experience. I was dreading changing the straps as I thought it was going to be more complicated than it was but I think I could go strap crazy now. I could have one for a different day of the week - ok maybe not.

Thanks for reading today......come back again tomorrow for my Verse for Thursday but for now you take care of yourselves.
