I decided that one day I might want to take the 'Make a Brew' blogging experience to another level. I know! It's been six months now so lets shake it up a bit eh? I had a thought, and it's only a thought at this point, to maybe do a vlog. A video blog! 'Sue from the Brew' on You Tube. My youngest son is mortified that I may have a You Tube channel so that makes me want to do it even more.
I'm only at beginner stage so I thought I may just experiment with using my phone to video at this stage. This got me thinking of having something to fix it up properly as you can bet if I propped it up against something it would just fall down 'mid vlog'. So this lead me to Amazon as always, and I found this great little mini tripod. It is a very light but sturdy piece of kit and holds my iphone 7 plus with no problem, at all. It does extend a little higher than shown in my photo from 14cm to 20cm, you can also position the phone at different angles so very adaptable. For the bargain price of £8.99 it also includes a bluetooth remote control so you can control the shutter easily without touching the phone. Great if you want to take a selfie and snap the photo at ease.. There is a velvet case included with a cleaning cloth too, my only criticism is that the bag isn't quite big enough and the tripod just peeks out of the top but to be honest it isn't a big problem. The screw on fixture for the mobile phone is extendable and fits most smartphones. I don't even have to remove my cover so it fits very snug and most of all the phone is safe and well protected. I have tried the fixture on a standard tripod too and this works brilliantly so if you did want to go for a bit more height it is possible. Overall this is a great product and can definitely recommend it so far. I've only just received it so I will see how I go with it and keep you posted. I'll also keep you up to date with any plans to vlog the blog. If you fancy one of these tripods you can find the link below to Amazon (this post contains affiliate links) Thank you for reading, I will be back tomorrow with a 'Verse for Thursday' but take care for now......
