Goodbye to Christmas and 2016.
Today is the first day of the new year and the Christmas decos have been taken down and banished to their storage under my bed. Its always a big debate isn't it? When is the best time to take them down? Some leave it to the twelfth night (5th January), after this is considered bad luck apparently but I've always de-tree'd on New Years Day as for me it's the day to just start a fresh and it also saves me from the doom of bad luck because I forgot the twelfth night deadline. My mum takes her tree down the day after Boxing Day. She doesn't hate Christmas or there is no 'bah humbug' about her or my dad but she is just firm and very decisive about what she expects from Christmas, the look on some family faces is quite amusing as if to say 'you just haven't Christmas'd enough' but she stands proud and sticks to her guns, one of the many things I admire about her. So here it is a new year, a new start, whether you believe in resolutions or just doing what you've always done, I wish you the best and hope you stick with my blog. See you tomorrow.
What to Buy Wednesday
From May 2020 I will be writing a poem about something I may have purchased or would like to purchase.
