This Years Summer Hit

That's it! Nobody bother releasing any other music now because we have our summer hit. It comes from The Kingdom Choir who wowed us on Saturday at the Royal Wedding with a heartwarming rendition of 'Stand By Me'.

Oh my goodness I could have melted and not from the weather being so warm but by the amount of pure emotion that oozed from this beautiful choir. A choir which have been around for a good many years now and have played at many performances around the country, you may have even heard them on TV adverts too.

It was a perfect choice for the wedding and I felt all proud and happy when they sang. I do love a gospel choir, I love choirs in general as I'm also part of one but there is a certain warmth that comes from a gospel choir. Ask my Mum from the Brew, she will tell you I have always been a fan of gospel choir even when I was a lot younger.

This song is yet to be officially recorded and released but you can stream it as part of the The Royal Wedding Album which is available now. Go stream it, show the love and maybe they will release it and be the top hit of 2018.

A big shout out also goes out to Nottingham's Sheku Kanneh-Mason. He is just 19 years old and such a talented musician. He was the winner of BBC's Young Musician of the Year in 2016 and was asked personally by Meghan Markle to perform at the wedding. Imagine that phone call, what an honour and he was also such a perfect addition to the whole ceremony. Now I wasn't a fan of the cello before as I always found it a bit melancholy and sad but Sheku has brought me around to loving it. It's an emotional instrument and he brings it alive and makes it so cool. I can't believe how relaxed he looked......I'd have been so nervous my fingers would have got tangled up but hey he's a professional.

What a lovely day....full of love, pride, great music and we had sunshine!! I hope you loved it too.

Thanks for reading today.....please join me again tomorrow for Teapot Tuesday but for now.......

Take care.
