Well I went for it and bought another whistling kettle. It's only took me just under a year to decide after writing this post last August........
what-kinda-kettle.html I was trying to decide whether to get another whistling one as I have really worn my old one out, or to go for an electric one that will switch itself off when it's boiled. Lazy I know but since having a whistling one I've definitely moved more and it is good if there is a power cut. So I treated myself to this lovely kettle from Amazon (a store called Pricecrunchers Ltd). It is very stylish and I can get a full 3.5 litres in this baby so I can brew for England. You can also get a 2.5 litre one too and in a selection of different which are black, red and cream. The 2.5 litre is priced at £14.52 and the 3.5 litre is £19.30 so a good price. It is sturdy, well made and it boils water. What more do you need? I don't know whether it's because it's new but it just boils quicker, I'm sure it probably doesn't and the science is the same but it just feels nice, new and fresh. It must be a few years since I have had a new kettle so the old one has seen we through many brews. The mechanism is good and the water pours easy, the handle hasn't got too hot but if I does I just use a small ovenproof cloth so that doesn't worry me. It's a kettle but it's great and glad I decided on this particular one. It's all poised and ready for tonight's football game between England and Columbia for my half time brew but I may need something stronger if it is not going well, we'll see. I will leave. a link below for this beauty but thank you for reading all about my new addition. Come back tomorrow for another bargain on What to Buy Wednesday but for now........ Take care.
