Yes at last they are here in my tea cupboard. I mentioned last month when trying the Bedtime Brew that these little babies were on their way. They have taken some finding though. I knew they were being stocked by Morrisons at first but I kept going into my local store but alas no Biscuit Brew. After a few visits of feeling lost, forlorn and just very sad I had a light bulb moment. Yes a 'ping' sounded and my brain woke up, which takes some doing now at this time of life and without a blooming decent brew!!!
I decided to go to a different store out in Derbyshire, Belper in fact. Not rocket science is it my fellow brewsters? There they were, on the shelf like the baby Jesus lit up in the manger at Christmas. I could hear angels singing too......it was a true miracle. But after all this effort of hunting them down I suddenly thought that I might get them home, boil the kettle, make the brew, give them a taste and be wildly disappointed but no! They are absolutely gorgeous. Now I've seen a lot of people on social media asking how they taste, well.......they taste like you've dunked a Malted Milk biscuit into your brew and it's flopped in after over dunking. You can't get it out so it stays at the bottom of your brew and flavours it slightly. That's how it tastes. So if you don't care too much for a Malted Milk biscuit ya stuffed but it's amazing how the boffins at Yorkshire Tea have got the flavour so right. It even smells like biscuits. I'm a bit fussy about my flavoured teas so there's no messing with me, I will not drink rubbish. I can totally recommend these, in fact I was off for another brew straight away - I know! Two Brew Sue. Give them a go and see what you think, let me know if you think they work or do you think it's just a gimmick and they'll fizzle out. Hope not, personally I'm thinking I should have bought about half a dozen boxes. Morrisons get some more stock in! I'll be round. Thanks for reading today and if you fancy joining me again well, come back tomorrow for What to Buy Wednesday. Until then take care of yourselves.

Can you remember The Magic Roundabout? When Zebedee would say 'it's time for bed?' Well now it's time for bed and you can grab a brew before you go said Sue from the Brew.
Thanks to Yorkshire Tea there is a nice blend of their tea with just the right amount of herbs to even keep Dylan from the said Magic Roundabout marginally happy. Now I'm a bit fussy about tea and don't like anything to strong or way out on the herbal stakes but this is just perfect. The bags consist of decaffeinated black tea, lemon balm, lemongrass, nutmeg and natural vanilla favouring. It is nice, in fact very nice indeed, I'm a bit hooked. Not sure whether it helps me sleep better, not really noticed any difference there but it just feels like a nice tasting tea to have later on in the evening. Actually I'm a bit of a rebel really as I am aware of them saying 'Bedtime' on the box but get this......I have had this tea in the morning as well when just waking up. I know!!! So hey rules are sometimes made for breaking and if you fancy it, go with it whatever the time of day. I'm liking what Yorkshire Tea are doing at the moment and developing all these different flavours of their tea. I'm a big fan and usually buy the standard decaf Yorkshire but I've seen that there is a new taste on the horizon. They have brought out a Biscuit Brew. A tea that tastes like you've just dunked your favourite biscuit in ya brew, it's not flopped in it's just left that nice after biscuit taste. I'm looking forward to trying these and I will let you know what they are like. Apparently it tastes like the malty variety of biscuit that we may have with our brew and they are gluten free so no worries there. Great eh? More tea to accommodate in my cupboards and on my shelves, my kitchen is looking like a tea museum at present but I'm not bothered. It would be a bit boring to drink the same tea all the time. No worries if that's what you do, I'll just drink all these teas and tell you what they're like. What a job.......my dream job. Right my fellow brewers, you take care of yourselves and keep drinking ya brews. I'll be back tomorrow for What to buy Wednesday. Bye!! |
