Our mission if we chose to accept it was to meet in The Yard at Pride Park Stadium, Derby and then move out into the baltic temperatures and sing with Rock Choir outside on the finishing line of The 10 Mile Run.
No this post isn't going to blow up and accept it I did. A nice warm Americano coffee was to be had and it gave me a lovely nice warming glow before going out for mission possible. It really is nice here and after our mission was completed it was a welcomed site to be able to defrost and take advantage of another brew. This time I went for a latte and I have to say I have fallen in love with this venue as do you know what you get with ya brew????? Only some Galaxy Minstrels. Oh my goodness, what a nice change from little biscuit which I can never eat with it probably not being gluten free. Minstrels are though so thank you for providing pure heaven with my brew. On this occasion I only drank but I feel I may return for food as there were a few dishes which passed by while I crunched on my last minstrel and they looked so tasty. The service was a little slow but I'm not bothered to be honest, the poor staff were just inundated by an influx of Derby Rock Choir members which can send anyone into a frenzy. I'm surprised their coffee machine didn't give up to be honest, the staff were very lovely and so friendly. One lovely waiter brought some very nice looking fries and asked us if we had ordered them, I think we all thought we would have loved to have said YES but no we let him take them away to their rightful owner. Booooo!. They have many different menus, a breakfast, drinks. bar snacks, lunch, dinner, dessert, children's (I don't recommend eating children though) and a Christmas menu too. You can view all of these on their website at www.theyardderby.co.uk Take a look or go and visit, I imagine they may get very busy on match days being situated under Derby County's Football Stadium but for other times I'm sure it's fine. Thanks to the staff for making us feel welcome and serving us lots of nice warm drinks, just keep those minstrels coming..... Thanks for reading today, join me again tomorrow for Whatever Wednesday. Take care for now.
