This is how I drank my brew today, from a flask and watching a bit of cricket. Tea and cricket have just gone together for years and years. Proper tea and sandwiches at the small cricket clubs after a game, such a quaint tradition.
Today was a Women's International between England and New Zealand and it was a great match. I watched half of it at the Derbyshire County Cricket Ground and then came home and watched the rest on tv. I had another commitment in the evening but kept an eye on England's bowling and blimey they just kept knocking the New Zealand girls out one after another to eventually go on and win by 123 runs Two brilliant teams and a really relaxing afternoon with family.
I did think while popping very important items into my rucksack for the day, did I really need a flask of tea? What are you talking about Sue from the Brew? Have you gone completely mad? Of course you need to take a flask of tea. A whole afternoon without a brew, it's not happening. I could have bought one inside the ground but I had loads of it in my big flask. I did share it with Mum from the Brew and even though it was hot hot hot weather, I still have to drink my tea.
What perfect day......sunny weather, a game of cricket, family and a brew......it doesn't get much better than that.
Thank you for reading today and a big well done to England, lets hope the England luck follows on tomorrow for the Football World Cup Semi Final.......fingers crossed!!
Everything tea related, from teashops, teabags, teapots, teacups, tea bags or loose leaf tea, and of course the all important tea chat..
