Right in the heart of the Derbyshire village of Findern is Bee's Tearoom. A beautifully situated haven of tea, coffee and a light lunch if you fancy one. Lindsay Bee offers sandwiches, jacket potatoes, homemade soup and freshly baked (by herself) cakes and scones.
Mum from the Brew and I sat in the summer sunshine drinking tasty tea, brewed in quaint teapots with classic tea cups. It felt so villagey I half expected Dawn French as The Vicar of Dibley to pop out from the Church across the road. Along with our tea we shared the last slice of Gluten Free Courgette and Advocado Cake which was so tasty. I thought at first that this combination would taste awful but my goodness it was gorgeous. It was very similar to a carrot cake and I even thought carrot was a weird thing to put in cake at first but veggies work so well and I felt a little bit healthy - two of my five a day there. A very friendly atmosphere as soon as we entered the tearoom and when we enquired about gluten ree items the staff said if we rang ahead next time they would have some gluten free scones there for us to devour. I'm loving these people and this place! I would definitely return as it was just so welcoming but apart from that you cannot beat where it is situated. Go and try it out now!! You won't be disappointed For any more information you can find Bee's Tearoom at www.beestearoom.co.uk You can book online for Afternoon Tea, a bargain at £12.95 for sandwiches, cakes, scones, tea and coffee, perfect for a get together with friends or maybe a party? Sounds great to me - any excuse to eat cake and drink tea. Let me know if you have been to Bee's Tearoom and tell me what you thought. For now take care of yourselves. Don't forget to join be tomorrow for What to Buy Wednesday. Bye for now.
