Afternoon Tea Anyone?

I have mentioned The Little Shed in Allestree (Derby) before in one of my posts here tea-cakes-gifts-handbags-paradise-right.html and I thought it was that good that I would pop back again.

Well to be honest I go quite a few times as it is just around the corner but this time I booked an Afternoon Tea with family just to see what it was like. I'd never had a proper afternoon tea before but had spotted them constructing these masterpieces on a plate when passing by.

Oh wow! I'm struggling to think now why I haven't tried this before, it is absolutely gorgeous. So much to eat I nearly needed rolling out the door, and slightly worried I may not actually fit through the door. On the left of this picture is the cake stand I was given as it is all gluten free.....I know!!! Doesn't it look fabulous? I devoured it all except the fruity yogurt and half the cake at the top. The good thing is though if you can't manage it all you can get the remainder of it packed up to take home. Oh and did I mention the refillable tea included in the price, it just gets better eh?

The staff are so lovely and friendly at the The Little Shed and really make you feel welcome. This is part of the reason for returning, they literally bend over backwards to make your visit special. They do offer vouchers for Afternoon Tea and I can recommend these as a present for someone and there are also vouchers to spend in the gift shop too so you really are spoilt for choice.

I have to put blinkers on in the shop as they have some beautiful handbags, no seriously I've bought about four so far from here, I'm surprised they haven't banned me from taking all their stock. I see one on their Facebook Page and I've shot out the front door and five minutes later it's in my hand. So naughty. So addictive. Now I may be hooked on these teas now so I've got no chance. I'll need extra sessions at Slimming World and attendance at a 'handbags anonymous' meeting.

Go spoil yourself or spoil someone you love but do go as I can totally recommend it. No excuse as they cater for all dietary needs so you will get something to eat. All the details about The Little Shed are available on their website at www.thelittleshedallestree.com

Thanks for reading today, join me again tomorrow for What to Buy Wednesday but for now take care.
