No I'm not talking about a nice afternoon tea session with a teapot of a top brew and some dainty cheese sandwiches I'm on about tea and cream cheese together in one cup.
That's got you thinking eh? You're either thinking urrrrrghhhhh yuk or ohhhh I wonder what that would be like. I like both tea and like Wallace from the Aardman creators I am partial to a bit of Wensleydale but not sure I even contemplated topping my brew with a cheese topping. Is it possible to grill it on top like pizza tea? Apparently it's very popular in Asia, the U.S and now plans to make an impact here in the UK. I've not seen it around yet but when I do I'm up for a bit of a try. This new refreshment range includes a chilled black or green tea finished off with a creamy cream cheese top. Am I convincing you yet? Well some people must be convinced as it's proving popular on Instagram. I think you're going to have to leave this with me and when I get the chance I will report back on how I got on with cheesy tea. Will it spoil my brew or will it become a phenomenon? Maybe you've already tried one, if so please let me know what it's like, I am very interested. I keep looking at my little tubs of Philadelphia cheese and and pondering chucking one on my next brew. The thing is though I think one has to try it out at a 'cheese tea' establishment, then you've got someone else to blame if it tastes dodgy. It reminds me of a liqueur coffee, I suppose they started somewhere but coffee and cream does seem more quenchable than tea and cheese and the boozy coffee will get me a little bit more tipsy especially using Bailey's. Oh well we will see, watch this space!! Thanks for reading today, if I haven't made you want to be sick and you fancy coming back again, I will be back for What to Buy Wednesday tomorrow so see you there, minus cheesy tea but back on the traditional Yorkshire, PG or Tetley tea. Take care.
