Tea Down on the Farm

I actually had a coffee here on the farm but I did buy tea to take away. Yes some more, as if I haven't got enough. I'm turning into a mahooosive tea addict and I can't think of anything nicer.

I consumed some lovely gluten free lemon drizzle which was very tangy and very delicious. Accompanying that was a hazelnut latte with some extra cream on top but I haven't told you that and you didn't see anything.

There is a very friendly atmosphere here with very nice staff. It was cosy with a fire burning and I could have sat there all day but they would have had to roll me out. They would mistake me for a big hay bale and plonk me in the nearest field. That will teach me to eat too much cake.

Whats lovely about Hackwood Farm is that you can have your beverages and then shop in their delightful farm shop. So much foody goodness and yes they had tea for sale. I bought this lovely tin of 40 English Breakfast Teabags which is now sitting proudly in my kitchen. I also purchased some Irish Decaf Loose Leaf Tea which tastes so nice I feel I may have to keep going back and replenishing my stock. Oh dear, more cake and a brew Yikes.

There is meat and pies to buy, fruit and veg as well as cards and gifts too so if you've not visited this place then you need to. It is situated at
Radbourne Lane, Derby, Ashbourne DE6 4NA and they do have a website at www.hackwoodfarm.com Here you'll find all the information you need about the place itself, menus and function room hire for a special event too.

Hope you enjoy it here as much as we did. Thank you for reading today, please come back tomorrow for Whatever Wednesday. Wednesday doesn't have a theme, I leave this midweek day free and randomly pick any subject to get us over that hill and on the way to the weekend. Any requests for subjects to chat about are welcome so let me know if you'd like me to discuss something of interest.

Take care everyone!
