I was sure I wasn't going to that bothered about I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here this year but I'm loving it. I'm actually staying awake at 9pm as well to watch it which is not like me as that's my prime 'nodding off' time.
I think they have a brilliant mix of celebrities here and they all seem to be getting on as well. I have mentioned Anne Hegerty in my post yesterday on Autism Support Saturday but I'm also just loving the banter between Noel Edmonds and Harry Redknapp, they are so funny together and who would have thought that? I certainly didn't, they so need their own show. Harry is just entertaining anyway by himself with his stories, I could listen to him all day and I think he is bringing a lot of laughter to the rest of the camp. I really thought he would be a bit of a grump and not enter into it all but blimey he really has given it 100% so far. The bush tucker trial he did with Noel last night was awesome, I really thought he would bottle it but it stormed it. Proves how much I knew about him before. It was so funny how Noel and Harry kept making each other laugh last night as they tried to keep all those critters in their mouths, I was expecting to see a mega big beetle go flying across my screen as they got more and more hysterical. Good coping strategy though or maybe they are just silly all the time, hope so. I think, at the moment Harry could win this or John Barrowman is another favourite of mine but it could all change. I'm surprised by Emily Atack as well, she's really given it her all. I bow down to her for coping with those snakes.....what a brave girl. It's quite amusing following her mum, Kate Robbins on Twitter. She must be so worried about her but they seem tough cookie gals so I think Emily will do great.....love her. I really appreciate Kate's tweets on Twitter somedays as she is so funny and she lifts my spirits on those crappy days so thanks to you both for cheering me up. I'm going to keep watching as I am clearly obsessed, I wonder who will go first......oh don't want anyone to but we'll see. My prediction for tonights Strictly would be.......oh difficult but it could be Graeme Swann tonight although it wasn't looking good for Lauren Steadman either. I loved Lauren's performance though, I enjoy watching her and AJ as I think they are really well matched together. I'm still on Team Stacey as she's just brilliant and she's just got such a bubbly personality, the whole Strictly experience seems to means so much to her. Ok well we will see what happens and I am off now to get some tea then settle with my youngest son for a bit of Doctor Who time.....one of my favourite times of the week. I will be back tomorrow for Music Monday but for now you all take care.

Well Series 4 in the bag at last. I've been waiting for this series of Line Of Duty to become available on Netflix, only because I just kept holding off from paying for it. I missed it when it was on tv and have been toying with the idea for ages of whether to just buy the box set on Amazon but no I held out and this weekend while flicking through for something to watch I clocked eyes on it.
I wasn't disappointed either, it was absolutely brilliant and think I may have stopped breathing for a few seconds at the end. That Thandie Newton, I thought she was such a lovely lass, I did actually feel sorry for her in the end. She was awful....she just kept dragging everyone down, getting lots of innocent people arrested, even her own husband!! Oh I was shouting at my ipad like mad. Bad bad woman!! Things always go against AC-12 don't they? I think, oh that's it there in trouble now but then no way they can't be.....no way, I'm not having it!!! I've gone through a massive mix of emotions during my binge watch, feel like I've been on a huge big rollercoaster trying to work it all out but phew, no I didn't expect some things here. If you have never seen Line Of Duty you need to as it's brilliant. I think it's one of the best thing on tv and apparently they are filming series 5 yaaaaaayyy!!!. It is available on Netflix so go now and watch it. If you have seen the latest series, did you love it as much as I did? Dark Heart came to a conclusion and it was fantastic, definitely left open for another series there me thinks. We need to be knowing all about Will's parents now eh? I also want to see Jules get well again and out of hospital. It has been a great series though and gripping cases for him to solve, please go and watch it if you haven't so that they will commission another series. So many loose ends I need tying up, that's not a bad thing it just has a nice cliffhanger for it to continue. Tom Riley gets his top off and he's very buff.....there ya go people.....ya welcome! I'm going to seek out the new celebs going into the jungle later on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. There seems to be a good selection and I actually know most of them. I can't quite believe Harry Redknapp is going in so he might be worth a watch. Still watching Strictly? Yes I am too, getting a bit fed up of the contestants who are already pro dancers such as Ashley Roberts and Faye Tozer, of course they are going to get great scores, they have a mountain of experience, for me I don't think they should be there if they are professionals already. The public always seem to pick up on this and I don't see either of them winning because the others who have never danced before will take centre stage. My favs? I'm Team Stacey or Joe Sugg, I think they have made huge progress from the beginning. So who's leaving? I think it will be Kate Silverton or Graeme Swann this week. I'm hoping Charles Venn goes through as he did amazing and received a great score so please don't put him in the dance off!! Not sure he could take it again. We'll see anyway. Good luck everyone. I hope you've enjoyed your tv this week, let me know what you are watching. I'm off to watch Doctor Who as I'm obsessed.....woosh off to the Tardis. Join me again tomorrow as I will be back with Music Monday. Take care for now. So Bro from the Brew got in touch with me and said 'hey sis are you watching Dark Heart?' To which I said no, wrong answer as apparently I should have been watching it as it is really good. Now Bro from the Brew knows a thing or two so I thought I'd better catch up with this amazing programme.
Well I'm glad I did and he was right it is flippin awesome. If you are a bit squeamish and not in favour of a bit of gore then this isn't going to be for you because there are scenes that are a bit yucky. It airs on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and every week has a new story, unfortunately though it concludes this coming week so you have some catching up to do if you haven't seen it. Just have a binge watch when you've got a spare few hours but obviously not when you've just eaten. It's all about DI Will Wagstaffe who has to investigate a murder or two but meanwhile he is haunted by his past. His parents were brutally murdered when he was a child and the case remains unsolved. He also has a sister he cares about who's boyfriend he doesn't like but he has a nephew he does love to bits and family life gets a bit complicated here. The storylines are fantastic and the writer has really come up with some great twisty cases so don't go thinking it's just another police drama as it really isn't boring at all. If you watch the first two episodes and think to yourself something has changed about the whole thing by the time you get to the third episode well this is because the first two were released two years ago as a pilot. You may have already seen it and it may ring some bells. In episode three it tends to jump forward slightly and he has a different team around him as well as having a slightly older nephew than in the previous episodes so bear that in mind. Overall blooming fabulous and totally worth a watch, I'm just gutted that it will be coming to an end and I need more!!! You need ITV Wednesday and Thursday at 9pm or catch up on the ITV Hub. I do love the odd chat show at the moment, my favs are Graham Norton's and Jonathan Ross so do catch up with those from last week if you didn't see them. Graham Norton had Michael Buble, Taron Egerton, Carey Mulligan and Sir Ian McKellen who was so funny, I loved him. Jonathan Ross had a Spice Girls Special so just in case you have been on a different planet this week the girls are getting back together for a quick tour. They have a chat about that and the fact they will be without Victoria (no loss there in my opinion) and generally just have a bit of a girly squabble about some stuff. I was a bit worried that after this interview it could be all over by the end of next week but I think it's all girl power banter. I love The Spice Girls and frankly love seeing them back together, they are genuinely friends still anyway and for whatever reason they are touring again it doesn't matter does it? As Mel B says on the show the money will come in handy for her lawyers bills - at least she's honest. I think they are entertaining even without singing but it was interesting to see them get a bit nervous when asked to give an impromptu sing song. Bless maybe they need a bit more practice. Mind you I would probably freak out if someone asked me to randomly sing......hang on though I'm not a Spice Girl, hey I could be though if they need a stand in for Posh Spice......I can pout! Kylie was on the show too as well as the very funny John Bishop. I got a bit emotional when he spoke about his son 'coming out as gay', he was just lovely how he spoke about him and I thought to my myself 'what a top bloke'. One person I was surprised about was tennis player Novac Djokovic. I haven't really seen him do any interviews so I didn't know a lot about him but he was very interesting a really nice chap. You see that's what I love about a chat show, the fact that you can come away learning something new about someone and usually be pleasantly surprised. Anyway I'm going on so I'll stop there for this week. I could frankly just go on about the telly all week but we need a change of subject. I won't even get on the subject of the wrong person going off Strictly and I won't say who it was in case you haven't seen it yet......but no sorry wrong choice! Look see I've even turned into a dancing expert - NOT! Just my opinion. You take care of yourselves and I will be back for Music Monday funnily enough tomorrow which is Monday. Bye for now..... I cannot believe another Great British Bake Off has come to an end, I do have to say congratulations to Rahul on his win. Were we all happy with Paul and Prue's choice? I was, in fact I liked all the finalists and any one of them deserved to win but apart from a couple of wobbly's Rahul remained the most consistent.
It was a great series and I particularly liked the shock feature of not using the oven, no cooking at the benches and having to go outside and cook, what a surprise. I think I would have panicked slightly if I had to go and cook my pitta bread outside and with added dips. The British public were shocked and disillusioned by it all as well with people tweeting that they were 'going outside', (cue some dramatic music). They survived though although I do love how some charred bits had to be scraped off the odd pitta, I do that after cooking them in a conventional oven. I wasn't too impressed by the showstoppers, they didn't stop the show for me at all. They all looked a bit dreary and dismal. I like something stunning, like a magnificent cake with thirty layers of sponge and loads of icing that looks proper posh but hey maybe that's me asking for too much. Maybe Atlantis and a rock garden are suitable for the final, who ya kidding Paul and Prue......I don't need to tell you your jobs but come on demand more!!! It was a great series I really enjoyed it and what a lovely choice of contestants. I don't even miss Mary, Mel and Sue at all....sorry girls I am fond of you but we do get to see you on other shows so all is not lost. What else happened this week? Oh Strangers came to it's conclusion didn't it? That was good, I have enjoyed that. I think they could have wrapped it all up last week but it did have a good twist at the end. I am trying to get to grips with The Little Drummer Girl. It is one of those dramas that you need to concentrate on in case you miss something. I did enjoy the first one and I think I know what is happening but I need to catch up now with the second one. I was watching it but there was too much going off so I thought I would leave it until I get some quiet time. Oh that makes me chuckle slightly......quiet time??? What is that exactly? I have heard it's when everything around you falls silent, you have achieved all your chores and one can sit down with a brew and chill......oh did I mention brew? Right I'm off for one now and try and explore this quiet time. Wish me luck! Thank you so much for reading, you may go and make a brew too but join me again tomorrow for Music Monday........ Take care for now. |
