This is how I've felt most of this week with the tv. The tv drama Trauma was enough to make me wonder what that was all about? I understood that the dad was very angry about his son's death and I suppose grief materialises in many different ways and maybe he did need someone to blame so blamed the surgeon. I felt he did his best to save Alex's life and wasn't to blame but I don't really know, I felt as if I was trying to understand but not quite getting it.
It was a drama with brilliant actors and I feel the script may have let this one down a bit. His grief did absorb him and I can't imagine how it would feel in his situation but I'd feel I would want to blame the person who stabbed him first I think, who knows. It didn't really shake my boots and I suppose we can't like everything that comes on the box but from the trailers it looked as though it was going to be really good. Oh well. Another drama I wasn't getting my head around was Requiem but then I decided to just binge watch the rest of the episodes and ended up quite liking it. It was very spooky and scary at times. It even had an edge of Hammer House of Horror at times with the scary music. Very supernatural spooks and I thought Tara Fitzgerald was brilliant, I was scared of her. I won't spoil it as it has the rest of the series to run if you are watching it in real time but stick with it as it's definitely watchable. OHHHHHHHH the final of McMafia happened.......amazing!! In fact the best thing on tv so far I think. Woah he got into trouble and then got out of it in style. Brilliant drama and I sooooooo would love another series. James Norton is just awesome, he gets away at first with lovely innocent soft good boy Alex and then boom!! Hard faced, 'I'm going to sort you proper' Alex. Talk about kicking ass and owning it. Love him. Well done BBC a great drama and such good acting, was on the edge of my seat the whole time which is good for me as it means I didn't nap in the middle. Shetland returned this week and you just get used to being amazed by the scenery and beauty of the Shetland Islands and then someone gets murdered and ruins the view. You wouldn't believe there would be this much action there would you? I'm sure it's really quiet and the crime figures are really low until Jimmy Perez and his team get there. This new series sees Thomas Malone released after being in prison for the murder of Lizzie Kilmuir, it seems though he didn't commit it but how will the community react? Then what happens? Only another murder which has similarities to the murder of Lizzie's so the finger points inevitably to Thomas again. The story continues on Tuesday BBC1 at 9pm. Onto another week and Marcella is back on Monday 19th Feb ITV at 9pm for a second series so I'm looking forward to that. Join me back for more tv talk next Sunday but before then I am back tomorrow for Music Monday. Take care for now.
