Oh what did you think to the end of Hard Sun? I had to rewatch the ending again as I had watched it six weeks ago after the first one. The whole series was available to watch straight away on iplayer so I took advantage. I quite glad I had another watch as I was a bit muddled the first time after feeling that some things didn't get answered in the end for me. 

For example what did Butler do exactly to give Hicks the excuse to kill him? We got a hint of him seeing something on a laptop in a reflection in that bedroom but what was it? So I need another series which some people say cannot happen as that's it, the end of the world happened a bit earlier than expected. Apparently though there's rumoured to be another five series planned, this could give me the answers I require. 

I loved it, I thought the sub plots were a good addition and I thought Renko played by Agyness Deyn was just brilliant. She kicked ass didn't she? Woah!! I kind of liked the love hate thing they had going on as it made it so unpredictable as to what was going to happen. Some have been disappointed but I want more, quick before the sun burns out.

Silent Witness came to an end this week and the first part on Monday left me a bit bewildered. Why's that Sue from the Brew? Well I found it hard to believe Nikki would be running back into a house where there was gunman free and that the armed response unit would let her. It was all a bit far fetched for me. I was forever shouting at the telly, no wonder Nikki got herself buried underground in the last series she just won't do as she's told. maybe it would be boring if she did. The second part was better and I felt all warm and fluffy when her chap surprised her for Christmas......ahhhhhhh.

I binge watched Next of Kin after my brother recommended it and so glad I did, blimey nearly missed out on this one. It was packed solid with tense, edge of your seat drama. Mona Harcourt becomes wrapped up in a tale of radicalisation and terroism after her brother is murdered whilst working overseas. It was a brilliant series and I was glued to it. I can recommend it if you haven't seen it. Well done to all involved a big hit from me.

Call the Midwife made me cry last week, it was so hard to see those children taken away from their parents - my heart just broke as I think as a parent the first thing you do is put yourself in that situation and that's what got me in tears. I just couldn't imagine it. I'm so worried about Trixie. She's back on the booze and has also split with Christopher so we'll have to see what happens this week. Lets hope she gets some help because we love her don't we? Well we love them all, it's such a heart warming drama - I look forward to watching.

Girlfriends ended this week and what an ending. Those girls just kept getting themselves deeper and deeper in trouble. I cringed with what they were planning next but hey did that leave this series with a possible hint for a second? I hope so as I need to know whether Micky survives the suitcase. I actually looked at one while out shopping today and gave it a shake just to see if he's ended up in the middle of Dunelm in some sort of twist to the plot. Along way from where he was left drifting away though eh? You never know with Kay Mellor. I really enjoyed this, it was funny, easy to watch and I think I needed something light to watch after all these intense dramas.

I'm looking forward to the last of McMafia, well I'm not as I want it to carry on forever but not sure my nerves can take it. What an ending to the last episode. He's in trouble now. I do feel that all the action happens in the last five minutes but that's ok, I enjoy the build up and now come to expect that my jaw will lock into the OMG position. I'll come back and fully review this next week after the finale. Please don't let it be a disappointing ending!!!

I wasn't passing the remote anywhere this week only changing channels to what I wanted to watch. I wasn't ready to give up my viewing to anyone and what a busy week. 

I must admit I have been Netflixing as well so I binge watched all of Black Mirror and just hit it right too as a new season started last week so I had even more to watch. This is not for the faint hearted and at times a bit odd. From the very first episode in season one you are drawn into the kind of tv you're not sure you should watch but you do because you're curious. It is a great mix of dilemmas and scenarios where you end up asking yourself what you would have done in the same situation. There are episodes which take you too a futuristic dimension, will life get that weird? Its a science fiction anthology created by Charlie Brooker and featuring some well known actors and one episode directed by Jodie Foster. Every programme has a different story and different cast so it becomes intriguing as to what the next tale will be. Like I said it's a bit dark in places and you really do need to process an open mind with it but it is worth a watch.

I became lost when I'd finished watching that and yearned for something else to watch so watched Season One of Big Little Lies and loved this too. completely different from Black Mirror it follows a group of couples with different backgrounds whose lives come under scrutiny. The cast involves Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley as the the main female characters but their lives get turned over when one of them is murdered. There is cattiness and envy, jealously and heartache. There are beautiful rich people and a sunny beach location so what could go wrong?Well there is always something. I loved it and can't wait for another season. 

I moved away from Netflix and went to Sky One for a new series of Delicious. Now if you haven't seen this it is really good. It includes a great cast again with Dawn French, Emilia Fox, Sheila Hancock and Iain Glen. The two wives of chef Leo (Iain Glen) are now left to run the hotel business after his death and the story continues around their relationship and how they cope with extended family and new relationships. It really is good drama and light comedy too. You can watch it on Friday evenings Sky One at 9pm, you can also catch up with the whole lot on Now TV if you have the Entertainment Package. 

A new Kay Mellor drama started last week called Girlfriends. Blimey that woman has been busy after the recent finale of Love Lies and Records which was brilliant. I wasn't too sure about this one at first as it didn't seem to have the same buzz as her previous shows. I was probably still a bit cloudy brained from the new year or maybe it needs to settle in a bit so I won't give up. I did enjoy it more as it went on. It has a good group of girls including Miranda Richardson and Zoe Wanamaker who have been friends for many years and become reunited after the disappearance of   Linda's husband. There are many giggles and I'm sure it's going to turn out to be a great series, Kay never usually goes wrong. It is on ITV Wednesday evenings at 9pm.

Woah! Have you been watching McMafia? That is a brilliant drama. I thought I had got a bit lost after the first episode but when someone on Twitter went through it all in one tweet I realised I was on the right track. It is that intense so you do have to watch it with no interruptions. It follows an English born son of a Russian mafia boss played by James Norton and how he tries to protect his family and business from any corruption but gets drawn into a life he wanted to avoid. It is brilliant so I can't wait for the next episode which is tonight BBC1 at 9pm. You can catch up on the BBC iplayer if you haven't seen it.

Hard Sun was another new starter last night and I think this was the best tv so far. I was gripped with the first episode which follows two very mismatched cops who come across a government leak which tells the end of the world in five years time. This is absolutely packed with action and takes you down different ally's with the main theme of impending apocalypse but of the impact of the story as it is seen as a hoax when made public. It can be a bit confusing but it is amazing. It is on BBC1 Saturday evenings at 9.35pm but you can watch all six episodes on BBC iplayer. I have watched them all and it is worth the watch. I'm not giving anything away but may revisit this when it finishes. I know some people like to watch it weekly and in fact I may need to watch some of it again as it is a bit busy shall we say. 

Phew! I'm shattered with this amount of telly this week and we've got even more to look forward to. The return of Dancing on Ice, Silent Witness and Vera. I'll be back for more next Sunday but please join me for a bit of music chat tomorrow on Music Monday.
