Oh I'm loving this new series on Netflix. After watching Josh Groban at Proms in the Park, listening to his new album 'Bridges' I thought I just need to see him appearing in this new series 'The Good Cop'.
I know it's like a 'Josh fest' but my goodness this man can put his hand to anything. Not only does he have a fabulous voice, is totally charming his acting is tip top too. He is really funny as he plays TJ a cop who never breaks the rules, seriously everything he does he does by the book. So different from his dad played by Tony Danza who likes to break the rules, he's done time in prison and now out on parole living with his son. There is a different murder to solve in every episode and TJ gets a little help from his father whether he wants it or not which makes it very entertaining and very funny. A good paring between these two, I'm hooked completely and only half way through the season so far so can't wait to watch more. Catch it on Netflix now!! Bad Move returned for another series on Wednesday evening, ITV at 8pm which I'm glad about. Jack Dee is back with Kerry Godliman as Steve and Nicky in pursuit of a good builder to fix the roof after the antics in the last series. They do find a honest builder who's name is Honest John but his honesty goes to extremes a little and they have to decide whether honesty is the best policy. All the regular characters are back including Grizzo, their rock star neighbour played by Seann Walsh who you may be watching on Strictly's dancefloor. Which leads me to the new start of Strictly. What did we think? I'm loving the line up this year, I think it will be a good series. Some of them took me by surprise on how well they did for the first week. Typically though the two top leaders were experienced dancers in a way. Faye from Steps and Ashley Roberts both have had a lot of dancing experience but then I've said this before and it doesn't always happen that the contestants who can dance necessarily do well so we'll see. I can't pick my favourite at the moment, I do hope Katie Piper gets a boost of confidence as she is such an amazing woman, with all she has been through I'd like to see her go on and on but feel nerves may get the better of her and I totally understand why. Oooh can't wait to see more and this comes from someone who never like Strictly at all. I can't get enough of it now. I took a bit of time out and watched the new 'Murder on the Orient Express' starring, well just about everyone. I missed this at the cinema and wanted to see it so I watched it on Now TV Cinema. Kenneth Branch directs and stars as Hercule Poirot who has to instigate a murder (I know surprising eh?) on a Choo Choo which gets derailed in a storm. A great whodunnit also starring Penelope Cruz, Johnny Depp, Willem Defoe, Judi Dench, Josh Gad, Michelle Pfeiffer, Derek Jacobi, Leslie Odom Jr, Daisy Ridley and Olivia Colman. Such a great cast and a very entertaining movie, I really enjoyed it. So onto a new week with the finale tonight of Bodyguard, yikes!!! The most watched drama so far which viewing figures through the roof. I have no idea how this is going to end, it's leading us down every path possible but I think there is going to be a bit of a twist and maybe a big surprise. I hope it doesn't disappoint. Watch out for our very own Derbyshire Rock Choir members on 'Trust me I'm a Doctor' this week (Wednesday BBC2 8pm). They took part in various tests to see whether singing can boost feel good chemicals in the brain. I know the answer personally but this is all about science and whether singing can provide the same natural high as sports and exercise. We were all filmed doing a bit of singing too so keep your eyes peeled and you may catch Sue from the Brew on ya telly (may blink and miss me) but my friends will be there doing the hard work.....eek excited. Thanks for reading today......catch me back here tomorrow for Music Monday but for now take care.
