What are the BBC doing to me? This McMafia business nearly cost me the contents of my bowels and I think I may have actually stopped breathing at the end of the last programme. I think the whole country must have fell silent in anticipation of what was going to happen in the Alex vs Vadim showdown in the departure lounge. If you've not been watching it what you playing at? If you love good drama then this one is one you need to watch.
Now it takes a bit of watching and for some (like me) a little backtracking to understand what's going on but stick with it as it does become clear. It is one of those that you can't take your eyes of the screen or have a quick conversation and hope you can just pick it up, no! You have to glue yourself to the screen with no distractions. Just a warning, wear good underwear though and remember to breathe.
What is happening to Dylan in Casualty? My heart just goes out to him as he seems to be plighted by an alcohol addiction. This will be a tough storyline, I love Dylan he's such a great character and I do love his honesty and the fact he's so straight forward, no messing with this man. I don't want to see him go through this but it looks as though he is going to get help. Phew.
The midwives are back in Call the Midwife! Hurrah! This is such a great series and blimey it's a cold winter there. They have a new nurse starting and some heart wrenching stories. Although cold on screen this programmes does warm you heart. Great acting and looking forward to seeing more tonight.
Is it me or are there lots of talent shows on at the moment? The Voice continues to be really good although watching it last night there seemed to be a shortage of men. All the contestants seem to be sixteen year old females, and even Tom said his team included four girls so far and only one male. Maybe it was just this week but come on guys, where are you?
I did watch the new series All Together Now last night, now I wasn't going to as it looked complete rubbish but I actually got into it. It involves singers performing in front of one hundred music experts in a celebrity squares type fashion (if you are old enough to remember that). The experts then have to light their light and just boogie along with the song if they are impressed and basically it is the contestant who scores the highest score that goes through to the final. Comedian Rob Beckett presents this show along with some support from Geri Horner (Ginger Spice). It's ok, a bit of fun and they do have a good mix of singers so I may keep watching to see what happens.
That's it for this week, tell me what you're watching and your likes and dislikes. This week sees the last of Vera and the finale of Kiri if you've been watching that so I will review those next week. For now though take care and come back tomorrow for Music Monday.
Thanks for reading!
