It's back for another series and we all love it don't we? Watching celebs wobble about on the ice, oops I mean Dancing on Ice. Well there were a few wobbles but hey I'm not going to criticise anyone here because I can't skate and I am literally terrible if I step outside on a frosty morning so hats off to them all.

We've got some corkers of celebrities eh? There are twelve to skate but the first programme featured the first six contestants. I wasn't sure who Saara Aalto was but then I don't watch X factor so I suppose I wouldn't. Jane Danson was fabulous from Coronation Street and how good was it to see Didi Conn (Frenchie from Grease), wow she looks amazing and still like Frenchie. I'm never sure what to say about Gemma Collins, I suppose she is great entertainment and very bubbly but I can only take her in small doses.

James Jordan from Strictly was the best skater of the evening I think and get this, shock horror, I am not going to go on about how he is bound to be good as he is a dancer darling!!! Even though he is great dancing on the floor I think going on the ice is a different ball game altogether. He genuinely looked as though he couldn't skate at all at first so he did well.

Unfortunately Mark Little has made it through to dance off in these early stages so we will find out tonight who he is up against. We also get to meet the other skaters this week so bring it on!! Great to see the judges back, oh Jason you bad boy!! Phil and Holly are reunited after her spell in the jungle and Torvill and Dean loving as fresh as always, looks like we will get to see them skate this series, woo!!! If you don't like to watch this programme for the celebs then tune in just for the performance from the professionals as it was just amazing last Sunday, how do they do all that and stay upright? I am in awe of you all.

What else was there on tv? Yes there is more......I did tune into watch the three part drama Manhunt starring Martin Clunes which told the real life story of the search for serial killer Levi Bellfield. It was a good drama and such a tragic chain of events but I felt it could have been told in a one part documentary type programme. I suppose it told the story and Martin was brilliant so it was ok but not overly impressed.

Silent Witness I did absolutely love. I'm so pleased to see this back every time and the first two programmes last week were just drama at it's best. I have begun to feel a bit confused about some of the storylines in the past but this was was clear and easy to follow, so tense and yes there was the classic Silent Witness twist so look out for that.

Another newbie was Cleaning Up starring Sheridan Smith and I was totally hooked on this. Sam played by Sheridan is struggling for cash, she's a single mum with a cleaning job, two kids to support and also has a gambling habit. Through her work she gains access to information on the stock market and sees a way out of her debt but through some serious illegal activity.  I love this woman, she is such a fine actress and just rocks everything she's does  whether it be serious drama or comedy, sings pretty well too. She can do no wrong, a good all round entertainer and lovely person. A bit naughty in this though but she does show the lengths at which people will go to in desperation. Brilliant, go catch up if you haven't seen it. It is a six parter on Wednesday's ITV at 9pm.

Well my lovely people, lots of new things to watch and looking forward to Call the Midwife returning tonight too. Phew.....I'm off to get some rest (that'll be the day). Thanks for reading, please come back tomorrow for Music Monday but for now......

Take care.
