Launch wasn't a go go
it just wasn't meant to be, oh no Sitting there ready Bob and Doug seemed so steady With a few minutes to remain the bad weather it came It stopped them proceeding and where it was leading It must have been difficult to sit there and wait I bet they dreaded the pesky weather update On the weather you can never rely it can be raining one minute then completely dry So Saturday they will try again Astronauts are truly brave men The International Space Station is where they hope to be will it be 'lift off' well we will wait and see

Remember it's ok at the moment if you are feeling blue
nobody really knows what to do My advice is to take it very steady and do things when you feel you are ready Coming out of lockdown isn't a race give it a little time and a little grace You won't get a medal for being the best and this isn't an exam or a big fat test We humans are not the same we all play a very different game We will come out of this that's for sure and be allowed to do alot more You're mental health needs to come first if you ignore it you'll just feel the worst How can you move forward if you are not feeling good and aim to do the things you normally would It's only encouragement and guidelines from the Gov that we are gettin' so don't fear or go a frettin' Do what's right for you at your own pace and boom! You'll be in a better place I haven't made banana bread in this lockdown
people will look at me and frown You didn't make any banana bread? What did you make instead? I made the classic brownie that's what everyone here eats my stomach is expanding with all of these sweets Next came a Victoria Sandwich with loads of jam inside now my trousers are clown size wide Flour in the shops you couldn't see It was a complete mystery to me though everyone is baking it has to be said They're all making bloomin' banana bread I wrote this last week after a bit of a wobbly in lockdown. My first one really so that's not too bad. I feel better now but I suppose we will all have a wobbly at some point and it's ok not be ok..........
Today I felt a bit low not knowing where life will go I know it will be ok we just have to take it day by day I think it's the not doing what we normally do all our routines, well they have gone down the loo We are becoming learners, crafters and bakers spending more time with the kids and identifying as homemakers But one thing is for sure and we know to be true some day this will all be over and I won't have to stand 2 metres apart in a queue |
