What does Autism mean to you?
Are you aware or is it all quite new?
It can seem really complicated
and making some people feel isolated

But do not fear
as there is help quite near
Groups where you can drink and have a chat
and pick up the odd interesting fact

As a community it's good to look out for each other
especially if you're on the spectrum, a relative, friend, father or mother
The professionals, they need someone to lean on too
It's almost like one big Autism stew

Yes, a hot pot of boiling stress
sometimes causing a bit of a mess
But the more people we make aware
then the problems we may share

So please pass on the word about Autism this week
and feel free to go out there and speak
Don't be afraid to ask how and why
Shrug off that curiosity, please don't be shy

Spring seems to have sprung away
the weather is so cold, winter is starting to stray
Colder than normally at this time of year
but surely Spring is now very near

Nature just hasn't got a clue
plants just don't know what to do
Should they bloom or stay tucked in tight?
Just in case another frost does bite

Lambs are being born regardless of the delay
you can't ask a sheep to wait another day 
Life carries on by month and by day
the weather will catch up - sunshine to stay

It has been bitter and windy too
I think a sundance is something we should do
For the clocks spring forward in just a few days
Come on Spring give us that warmth with a slight sunny haze

Mother's Day was nice
even though it was the end of Dancing on Ice
Another series over, another one to come
congratulations to Jake the winner, a job well done

My Mothering Sunday was very quiet
no teenagers around to cause a riot
They did appear later laden with gifts
a huge big card I found difficult to lift

It was huge, one of the biggest cards I've seen
must have blown their pocket money, a big deal for a teen
The presents to follow were to fill me with glee
a teapot, cup and saucer to fill up with tea

Perfect gifts for a tea guzzling mum
I've tried them out - oh what fun!
I love them all with all my heart
but I love my boys more a love that's off the chart

We have Women ruling nations
and Women entrepreneurs
Women who have won gold medals
and Women becoming great runners

So today we celebrate International Women's Day
for all Women worldwide
Take time to think who inspires you most
Raise a glass or two and drink a toast with pride.

What does it take to be wholesome in this life?
What does it take to be good?
How do we know we are doing things right?
And everything it going as it should

Who makes the rules for when we work and play?
I wish someone would make it quite clear
life doesn't come with a rule book 
if it did it would be made by Carlsberg, yes them that make the beer 

So many questions about what life is all about
why am I asking then now?
I'm nearing my subscription with Saga magazine
maybe the answers will be in there somehow

There's bound to be some celebrity wisdom 
about about how to keep young and so fit
someone who claims to survive on avocado's 
but really pigs out on Mars Bars and is a total hypocrite

I'm destined for a future of Yoga
and quite looking forward to that
getting myself into exotic positions
that's exotic not erotic yes that's where I'm at

I'm feeling like I'll also meditate
it's good, less stress and I may find my chi
it's not in a cupboard or in a bottom drawer
it will be at the end of my next cup of tea

I'm actually looking forward to middle age
apart from the menopause of course
maybe Mother Nature will be kind to me 
or maybe I'll need a ton of HRT in full force

I'm gonna be happy not a grumpy ole mare
even if drowning in sweat
it will get me a front seat at the Bingo
a full house, oh that's what I'll get
