It's really causing some trouble 
so many people all of a ka'fuffle
There are amber warnings and impending drought
I'll worn Barbara next door, she has all her top flesh out!

This hot weather is changing how we live
it's hotter than a boiler on a steamy locomotive
So typical the Brits they canna cope
we struggle in the heat and give up all hope

We moan when we are hot and when we are too cold
I would go outside for my feet they will scold
Ebay are selling fast on fans
and Tesco are running low on fizzy pop cans

Drink water they say and keep yourself cool
don't go outside without cream on you fool
To stay inside at midday is sensible you know 
isn't that what they told us in six inches of snow?

It is a muggy humid kind of heat
It's a different kind on the island of Crete
They have fresher hot weather there and in the Med
you don't sweat buckets like here when you're sleeping in bed

Feel sorry for some as it's hotter elsewhere
but then they may have machines that condition the air
So suck it up buttercups, pop on ya bikinis and budgie smuggling trunks
it's only a few months till we're breaking ice from our pipes in humungous chunks

It's good to sing
with all the excitement it will bring
From small lessons in a church hall
to the big stage in front of one and all

We sing out loud and move with the tune
I honestly thought my voice may bring on a monsoon
But no it blends with all the rest
and when nerves have gone I try my best 

Being in a choir is just so cool
you can sing your favourite song without feeling a fool
We chuckle and have a lot of fun
but when the lights go down the work gets done

With every salsa, clap and sway
it doesn't matter if you go the wrong way
The 'da da da da's' bring you back to the song
and you can't beat an ending with 'Something Inside So Strong'

We don't just sing, dance and laugh
we go for the odd brew at the local cafe
We help raise pennies for a good cause
but feel a bit sad when our sessions take a pause

I am talking of course about the fabulous Rock Choir

We watched the mighty England with pride
football fans standing side by side
Beer soaked as they got wet
whenever a goal hit the back of the net

The trophy is not for us this year
but we'll be back don't you fear
We never expected them to do what they did
just watch out for the Euros and our next World Cup bid

Third place is still up for a grab
along with Belgium who are also fab
It's been a very exciting World Cup
with games you couldn't have made up

Teams have gone through who we never would have thought
and teams went out out, at penalties they got caught
I think at times we all held our breath
when the competition went to the point of sudden death

I'm not sad or down in the dumps
it's been worth all the clashes, bashes and bumps
As England fans we will continue to shout out loud
for this new young team, you make us so proud!

A celebration now you're eighteen
I'm the proudest mum anyone has seen
From a baby and wiping your bum
I've seen you grow into the adult you have become

It's been a busy eighteen years
so I think we can raise a glass and say cheers
You were diagnosed with Autism at an early age
every day your life starts on a brand new page

You have conquered having very little speech
and always been at school for the staff ready to teach
After setting your targets we have so many to thank
not just the teachers but Thomas the Tank

Whatever you face a smile is there
it stops people short with their quizzical stare
For sometimes you act a little different to them
but to me though you are a precious little gem

So what if you are loud and like Fireman Sam
I'll let you into a secret, I'm also a fan
Onwards we shall continue as we've always done
Happy 18th Birthday my beautiful Son
