Why is everything on tv on a Sunday night? It's packed to the rafters, my remote was going crazy and didn't know which way to click. It's been quite a contrast on last week as a new series of Broadchurch kicked off. Great to see this series return but sadly for the last time. Looks like another intense storyline and by now you know that you are going to go through the whole cast and change your mind about 20 times before you guess the wrong culprit. I love it, a great cast again and can't wait to watch the next one tomorrow night. Great drama just continued to roll out the next evening on Tuesday with the start of The Replacement which gets you on the edge of your seat with this psychological drama. That Paula is like a work place, employee bunny boiler. What a disaster, she's your worst nightmare replacement for your job. It's one of those programmes you feel the need to shout at your tv to try and tell nice lady Ellen that you have her full support because you can see what the devil woman is up to. I must not get too involved as it is only tv but oh my, I think she's just going to reek havoc. Can't wait for more on Tuesday can you? We were spoilt this week as we were also treated to a brand new Prime Suspect - Prime Suspect 1973. Those who remember the original series will know that it was Helen Mirren who played the iconic role of Jane Tennison back in the 90's. An amazing series and she was my first experience of witnessing girl power, before the Spice Girls. Tough and gritty, making her way as a successful woman in a male dominated profession. So back in 1973 the girls are having to deal with working in even more of a sexist environment, making the tea, coffee and cleaning up, how times have changed thank goodness. I was doing that shouting thing again at the telly again (it's been a funny week), shouting at the men mainly to clean up themselves......oh they will get a shock later when she starts kicking ass. She doesn't resemble anything like her future character yet does she? But she's only just started, it will be interesting to see how she progresses. The Voice has gone into the live shows now and I watched Team JHud whittle down from six to three. David Jackson was robbed, I really liked him, but it was a good show, for me the best out of all these kind of music shows. I've yet to see what the result was for team Tom yet so will have to catch up. Yes will definitely have to play catch up from this evening as Sunday night has become so busy. I chose to watch the new series of Top Gear as I was just curious to see whether it had improved at all. I quite like the first series really, I mean they were always going to struggle to fill the shoes of Clarkson, Hammond and May and I think they tried too hard. I do like Chris Evans and he is great in most of what he does, I think he got swept away with his passion for cars but Top Gear just didn't seem to suit him. It did however suit Matt Le Blanc which surprised me and now this new series has seen them take it back to the original early episodes which seems to work. The track has reverted to the old one and we are back to seeing three presenters again who work well together. I was half expecting to see the celebrity guest come to sticky end but reminded myself I wasn't watching Grand Tour. I like both and I'm going for shared custody as it's just easier. Both programmes are very different and that's ok I'll still watch and enjoy them both. The Good Karma Hospital continues to provide great entertainment. I just love all the characters especially Neil Morrissey, he's just so funny and very cheeky but then he's been good in everything he's done, even Bob the Builder. So enjoy the next week of tv and I'll catch you here same time next week, remember if there is anything else you watched that I haven't mentioned please feel free to leave a comment below.
