It's been a busy week again and to be fair I did a bit of catching up with the tv as I've been tripping the light fantastic at a Charity Ball over the weekend. Yes I spruced myself up and Cindersue went out after midnight!! Sadly no posh carriage or glass slippers but hey slipper socks never looked so inviting at the end of the evening.
When I did manage to play catch up imagine what I saw on Casualty. I said last week didn't I that Connie would sooner operate on herself rather than let anyone else reach for their scalpel. Obviously she couldn't actually operate on herself so she recruited poor Ethan to do it for her. Yes he did suss out the illness was hers and not some fictional patient and he did as he was told and got on with the job. I fear he could do little else as Connie just has to look at you with that stare, you know like the one your parents would give you when you were younger? Even I would be too scared to resist her 'do it and do it now' look. Would that really happen? I know it's all drama but how many rules were broken? I thought someone was going to come in did you? Yikes, caught in the act of intricate tendon type surgery. It all goes on in Holby City. She's so tough and stubborn but she's got the feeling back for now. Ethan will receive the death stare and face her blackmailing him for weeks to come I'm sure. It was nice to see Our Girl back. She's got her work cut out with that cheeky Maisie, oh tough Georgie has to come out now but she's so in love with Elvis isn't she? The chemistry between those two is electrifying although they cover it up with sarcastic comments and pretending to dislike each other, yeah right you two. We all want you to get it on again, but can we forget him for jilting her at the alter? Gorgeous though isn't he that Luke Pasqualino? He made a great Musketeer but wow he makes an even better soldier. So now she's stuck under a building, yes under a load of rubble after another earthquake in Nepal. What is to happen to her? Will someone rescue her? I blooming hope so as there are a few more episodes in the series and it wouldn't be Our Girl without her. Come on Elvis, be the hero and rescue her, a bit of mouth to mouth and make it up for goodness sake!!!. I like Michelle Keegan in this role, I think it really suits her. If you remember the first series you will know that Lacey Turner played another character and I wasn't sure if the passover between the two actresses and their characters would work but it has. Fabulous series and really enjoying it so far. Well as I catch up with Strictly and watch Molly bending in places I can only dream of darling, I will look on to another week. Don't these weeks go so quick? It doesn't seem five minutes since last Sunday. We have the finale of Liar coming up this week and the end of Victoria this Sunday night. Have a great week and if you fancy a chat about music then join me again tomorrow for Music Monday. For now though take care......
