Funny times with Mrs Brown

It been another great week of tv, Broadchurch is reaching a point where it looks as though they may be ready to make an arrest, but you know, if you've watched previous episodes, it's not going to be the right person is it? Surely? I do quite like that it does refer back to the original story and follows Mark Latimer battling his feelings towards the man who was acquitted for the murder of his son. I think there will be a dramatic climax to that storyline. Meanwhile the fingers are pointing towards Lenny Henry at the moment though Oooooh I don't know, think I'll leave it to Millllllleeeerrrr! and Hardy. even I stand to attention when he shouts 'Miller!'. Look forward to tomorrow then.

Prime Suspect 1973 is just brilliant even though according to some sources that the viewing figures have dropped. That's probably me when I fall asleep and accidentally nudge the remote over to another channel. I have to say, I have been good though lately I remained awake woo hoo! Give me a medal eh? I love the relationship between Jane and her boss Len, please let him be ok after Thursday's episode or is heartache going to make her that tough woman she becomes later. It's the last one this week so please, everyone watch it so the figures go up and we can have another series.

I do have to say I do flag a bit during Vera, I'm snoozing a bit after the first hour. For me Vera is a marathon with it's two hour episodes, I've gone to sleep by the time she's ready to sum up and reveal the culprit. Just to recap this is not because any of these great dramas are boring, it's just me with my 9pm 'drop off, snoozing zone'. She's brill though isn't she? Love her in her coat, hat, boots and chugging around in her Land Rover with a handy spade in the back. Did you spot that this evening? Reckon she has that handy just in case she has to dig a dead body up. Love how she gets Aiden to pop her plastic slippers on for her, he's such a gem isn't he? She has that 'mum look' that puts fear into any criminal that even thinks about telling fibs to her. You know the one, we've all had that look when we were kids, the type that just says, without words that 'ya grounded', in trouble, no tv for you. Loving it, just need to get more practice for a two hour show, wonder if they do tv viewing viagra? Viagra for the eyelids, to keep them up! I think it's called caffeine or matchsticks.

Just watched the final of The Voice, not bad and well done to Mo but I was  actually going for 'Into The Ark'. They were brilliant and the first time a duo have got that far in The Voice. Michelle had to go in the semi's, lovely girl and a fabulous voice but for me I can't be doing with the screamy, shouty kind of singing. I have to think whether I could listen long term and I think my ears would pack up listening to her for too long. It's the same with Mariah Carey and similar artists, it's not for me. Do we ever carry on listening to the finalists after the show anyway, well yes sometimes. We are still listening to Will Young and the lovely cheeky Olly Murs but that was X factor wasn't it? I'm struggling to remember the previous Voice winners, I'm sure they are out there but we'll see.

My star of the week goes to All Round to Mrs Brown's. Love this, it's so funny as is the show anyway but this just gives it another dynamic. The guests are fun and it's just a change to see a chat show taking part within another show. Such a good idea and now I am going into the kitchen saying 'reggae' much to the delight of my kids who now think I'm more crazier than I was before. It certainly spices Saturday night up although I do love my Casualty and I had major emotional blubbing moments during Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway this week. I love it when they give the trip to Florida out to people, its so heart warming. Dermot O' Leary was funny as well playing havoc in Tesco's, it seems weird to see that boy being naughty. Shocking!! ha ha.

Well that's it for this week, only to say that The Durrells return this month sometime. Looking forward to that as the first series was just brilliant.

Take care and thanks for reading.....catch you tomorrow for my new feature - Music Monday.
