Good Game Good Game?

Didn't they do well? Did they? Well it came against some harsh criticism. I am off course talking about the rebirth of The Generation Game with Mel and Sue. Of course people were gonna have a go, some people live to criticise every single little thing in life but really this?

It was never going to be the original, nobody can take the place of Brucie, Larry Grayson or Jim Davidson here but I think Mel and Sue gave it a good go. I remember the days of the 'scores on the doors' and the pure entertainment it brought to our Saturday nights, I did consider this when watching it last Sunday.

It was funny, a bit nostalgic, part of me did think was it necessary to bring it back but hey why not? Some programmes should be left in the archives because of their classic value but I think if you fancy a bit of fun and light entertainment then go for it and have a watch but please don't take it too seriously, I don't think that was the BBC's intention. Chill everyone!!

I cheered with the rest of the country when Ruby got hold of Dr Gabriel and kissed him in The Good Karma Hospital. Thank goodness, how long have I personally been waiting for that? I feel I'm not on my own. Yeah they pretend to dislike the pants of each other but really we all know they have better plans for their pants! TOO MUCH Sue from the Brew - Ok I'll leave it there but I feel we may go through the regrettable feelings for a bit then 'boom' full blown romance. Ruby has a bit more on her mind now so she may be a bit distracted by certain family matters but I think Dr Varma is going to support her because he 'luuuurvs her'. Great series so far, glued to it and can't wait for more tonight at 9pm on ITV.

A total newbie this week and it came in the form of the great Agatha Christie drama Ordeal By Innocence. I enjoyed the first one very much and crikey there are a few famous faces here. Bill Nighy, The A Word's Morven Christie, Eleanor Tomlinson (Demelza from Poldark) and Anna Chancellor (Duckface or Henrietta from Four Weddings and a Funeral), good quality acting caliber which makes good viewing. I can't help feeling that although Christian Cooke is doing a great job in the role of Mickey, taking over from Ed Westwick after his sex abuse allegations it was a role that belonged to Ed. I just have to get that out of my head because you can't dwell on it I suppose. It is brilliant and so worth watching, yes someone has been murdered, by whom though.....oh that's it now, we have to work out who the true killer is in classic Agatha Christie style. Can't wait. This adds to a packed Sunday evening of TV 9pm on BBC1 but hey watch or catch up later.

Two words to finish up this week KEEPING FAITH. If you have not watched this eight part drama then you really need to. It has everything and I have raved about it before, not only the drama but the music as well. It is written well, acted well and is one of the best dramas I have seen for ages. I cannot understand why it is not on prime time BBC but it was aired on BBC Wales and the full series is on the iplayer. The finale was this week and it just ended in a breathtaking cliffhanger, I am understanding that it will be back for a second series. YES!!!! Cannot wait. Congratulations to everyone involved and I'm so glad Eve Myles didn't give up on her acting career, I feel this came at the right time for her and she has done the role proud.

It's already gained a big fan base and the sales of a certain yellow coat are going to rocket I think. I have a similar one in blue but it's not the same......see I'm a fellow 'yellow coat fanatic'.

Right I'm off and looking forward to another great week.....I wish you well and if you fancy a bit more of this crazy world with Sue from the Brew then join me again tomorrow for Music Monday.

Take care for now.
