Goodbye to Doctor Foster....

Well my goodness it was a bit like marmite wasn't it? The ending of Doctor Foster, you either loved it or hated it. there was tears, some felt sorry for her, some for him but you have to have felt sorry for poor Tom. He's been flung from side to side, used as a weapon and frankly I'm not surprised he up'd and left. I think his patience for them both had run out. I do think it could have been done in a two parter rather than drawing out this long but that may be just me. Personally I thought it wasn't as good as the first series, it was an appealing deep drama but not sure whether it went over the top.. We all stood beside her before as she quite rightly wanted justice for being cheated on but with this it didn't quite stand up to anything plausible. That poor lad was so vulnerable in all that and they didn't once think about his feelings so it left a bit of a sour taste for me, saying that I do love marmite though.

What was that man doing in Liar!! Oh gosh that just took a twist this week. It caused a fuss on social media as most people were shocked at Andrew's behaviour. I can't actually believe he did that!!! Creeping into her house and planting drugs in her drink, oh and what did he actually do to her, doesn't bear thinking about. This is 'edge of the sofa' drama and completely watchable. I can't wait for the next one to see what happens. Yikes!!! Can't help thinking there there is more that is going to untangle with this man.

The Apprentice returned this week or should we call it The 'Yes Lord Sugar, No Lord Sugar' Show. I don't know about you but when I first look at the candidates I think they may have been cast on the wrong show and belong to some other reality or unrealistic programme. They are a lively bunch with many different personalities, non that I can see working with Lord Sugar at the moment. The other thing is that some of these people actually run business's which gives me hope as the possibilities are endless. I just keep thinking 'how do you actually run a business' or do they have to shake it up a bit for tv?

I'm always a bit sceptical about these shows as I think they get told to be a bit daft to make it entertaining or maybe they are really are like they are. I've got my eye on a couple that seem to stand out but it is the only the first show. Poor Danny, I think if there is one lesson to be learnt from The Apprentice by now it is not to volunteer yourself for project manager on the first show, looking back they are the first to go. I do like it though and will keep watching.

I also enjoyed the start of the new six part drama The Last Post on Sunday night. It's about the Royal Military Police Unit based in the Middle East during the 60's and sees Jessica Raine from 'Call the Midwife' fame take on a different roll. She goes from good midwife to slightly drunk and disgruntled wife who not only feels unhappy to be stationed out there with her husband she is also entangled with another officer. A great start and I loved the different characters, got a feeling this will be a great one to carry on watching.

Next week Our Girl returns which I love so looking forward to that. I just wish Connie in Casualty would tell someone about her health condition, I can't bear that she's keeping it to herself. I keep thinking she'll tell Ethan or he will work it out that she's in fact talking about her own heart and not that of her patient. So frustrating but she is a tough cookie. Made me giggle when her specialist recommended Jac Naylor to perform her surgery, 'she's the best' he said, yes we all know she is as Connie trained her! Connie would do the bloomin' surgery herself if she could, I don't think she'll feel that anyone can do it right, is that why she's refused it do you think? It must be hard to put yourself in someone else hands in her situation, she's scared but they would all look after her, it what she needs......I know - it's not real.

Well thats me wrapped up for this week, I'll carry on dancing with Strictly and will catch you back here next week for more Pass the Remote.
If you like your music pass by tomorrow for my Music Monday feature but for now.......

Take care.
