It's getting to that time again in The Voice where the blind auditions are coming to an end soon and then the battles begin. The judges are getting closer to their limit of ten team members and it's beginning to show. They all start to get cautious and so they should as 'the one' they are looking for may be part of the last few to auditions. This makes it so hard on the people auditioning at this stage as earlier on in the show they may have got through but now, no chance.
Seems so unfair and I really feel for everyone auditioning in these late stages. There were a couple last night which I wanted to see go through and one which Jennifer put through and I thought 'what the heck' but hey she's the expert. I think it gets to Olly as he would just like to take everyone on, he makes me laugh but I think he's actually portraying what we are feeling here at home on our couches. It must be frustrating for the judges too. We said goodbye to Vera this week, not forever as she'll be back and I can't wait. A great series and my Sunday's will seem empty without her and Aidan sorting the odd murder out. I've just got to the point where I've trained myself to stay awake and stop nodding off now and also I've taken to guessing the murderer as well. I'm not very successful which is probably while Vera is in charge and I'm just a viewer. The last one of Kiri got everyone talking. I'm not giving anything away but it ended very bizarre. It has been a great drama and has included some fantastic acting but it just seemed as though everyone got fed up and just ended it when I think most people would have liked to have seen it go to a more neater ending. Oh well, maybe it's left it open for another series but in my opinion some of these dramas don't need to go on, sometimes I just want to watch a one of drama with a beginning, middle and end. I don't want to go through a million seasons of it, depends on the drama really. Anyway we'll see what happens. Silent Witness was quite a tough watch this week as it was based around behaviour within a residential home. This brought in a magnificent storyline including Clarissa in a more central role. It was emotional, very well acted and dealt with in a realistic but sensitive way too. Hats off to everyone involved. A hard to watch but great couple of episodes. Needs to be seen me thinks. Right well on to another week and now we've lost some programmes I'm sure we'll gain some new stuff so I will be back to chat about it all next Sunday. If you like your music though please join me tomorrow evening for Music Monday. For now though...... Take care.
