Wow did you watch the new drama series called Broken which started on BBC1 on Tuesday? It was actually supposed to start the week before but was postponed due to the Manchester terrorist attack. It really is very good and stars Sean Bean as a very concerned priest, Father Michael who is very worried for single mum Christina played by Anna Friel. She is desperately trying to make ends meet with devastating repercussions for her and Father Michael trying to give her the support she needs. Looking forward to the next episode to see how she can possibly dig herself out of the hole she is in and will the priest be drawn into a bit of trouble and strife. Oh it's proper drama and well worth a watch so catch up if you can.
I'm carrying on with the other new drama Paula and that is getting more intriguing. Blimey though, she is a bit of a bed magnet for all the men she gets involved with and even had a fling with the detective who's working on the case of her fellow teacher Philip. Major drama and it is gripping to watch. It makes you jump in places, well it did me but then I'm a bit of a scaredy cat. The last one in the series is on this Thursday BBC2 at 9pm so it will be interesting to see how it all fits together. The last one in the series of The Durrells was last Sunday and what a great programme this is. A feel good, comedy drama which is what we just need at present. It's one of those programmes you can just forget the world and lose yourself in. I love the Durrell family and they had a busy time with babies being born all over the place and a love triangle to sort out. I didn't want her to get together with Hugh really or 'Huge' as he gets called. I want her to be with Spiro, yes I know he's married but they are so well suited. It's all left open really to see if I get my wish. Going to miss it on a Sunday but hopefully we will get it back for more soon. I've been keeping up with Nashville as well. A bit of country music and drama but I need to keep up as I get to see the artists live on Friday in Birmingham so to say I'm excited is an understatement. I have to keep away from social media regarding this programme as the peeps in the U.S are ahead and there are so many spoiler alerts. One big whammy which I now know of but I don't want to know anymore. ssssshhhhh don't tell me!! Loads more to come in the next week with Poldark returning, Big Brother season if you are into that, and I have just started binge watching Sense 8. I am aware this may be coming to an end after only two seasons. I saw that people were in an uproar as apparently it was quite popular. So I took a look and it involves a group of people who have a common connection with telepathy so I was quite hooked with that. I'll try and get through all two seasons and let you know how it goes. The election will dominate the tv next week as well....will be interesting but glad to get it over and done with. I'm sick of the politicians all shouting at each other on my telly but it does come in handy if you are not sure where your vote is heading Anyway have a great week and I will catch you for Music Monday tomorrow. Take care for now.......
