I've spent most of this weekend playing catch up. I think I've actually managed to burn my remote out with all TV I've watched. There is so much on at the moment and I know I've mentioned it before but I am hopeless at staying awake in the week. I have this switch that just shuts my eyelids at 9pm prompt. All the good dramas start at 9pm so I'm stuffed.
I don't mind at this time of the year as it's a bit cold and to be honest it's nice to get cosy and watch all my favourite tv shows. I'm still following McMafia which is great. Vera is fabulous and I actually managed to stick some matchsticks under my eyelids for that and watch it all the way through. Yay!! Silent Witness was fabulous and I got all teary when Jack gave Nikki a big hug this week, she had been waiting for that hadn't she? They needed to make their peace and move on. I'm also loving Clarissa's hubby Max who helped with the case this week, oh he's so geeky and adorable, a great couple and very cheeky - Max ya on loud speaker!! ha ha brilliant! I'm actually getting more into Girlfriends which is the new comedy drama from Kay Mellor. I didn't know whether it was great at the beginning but I do love it now. Class as always from Kay and a great cast, one to watch. I'm having a laugh with the guys from The Grand Tour, this just gets funnier and I kind of love that they can break the barriers on Amazon. They can be a bit cheeky, rude and throw in the odd swear word which is ok for them. I find James May the funniest when he swears because it's usually out of frustration with Jeremy Clarkson. They do a very amusing demonstration of a mobile fuel filling station which is definitely worth a watch and is in fact making me laugh now just thinking about it. I'm keeping up the memento with Dancing on Ice, well just about. I want to love it again but there is just something that is not as it used to be apart from the format being changed. I'm all for change but in all honesty there was nothing wrong with the original format. If it ain't broke - don't fix it. They seemed to think just because it was re launching that they had to make all these changes and I don't think they did. I get the feeling everyone just wanted the old show back. Maybe I'm wrong and I will get used to it but we'll see. I'm enjoying the tv at present and I'm really looking forward to the new series of Call the Midwife which starts tonight. Yes another to add to my list. What a dilemma though, a battle between BBC and ITV. Yep I'll be catching up again. Thanks for reading tonight, let me know what you are enjoying and feel free to comment about any of the shows I mention. Join me tomorrow for Music Monday but for now - take care.
