Yes two great programmes back for another series. Our Girl is back and ready for action again after her sad loss and our sad loss of Elvis in the last series. Ohhh it's sad that he's not here but she feels ready to get back to work again and my goodness what a start. What will happen to her now as she seems to have been taken hostage on this new Nigeria mission? Oh it keeps me on the edge of my seat this one, well I guess we will find out on Tuesday at 9pm.
Ackley Bridge also returned this week for it's second series. I loved the first one and it's got off to a great start. I thought I would have lost track too much and not remember what happened before but it all came flooding back. It's a good school drama, some say it's much the same as Waterloo Road but I think it's stands well on it's own. It's full of drama and a few funny bits too so a great all rounder. A Very English Scandal finished this week and I enjoyed this. It told the Jeremy Thorpe story really well and Hugh Grant was brilliant in the role of Jeremy himself. I feel a few awards coming on for him surely? The original case has been dug up again and it may look as if it may be investigated again, although Jeremy Thorpe is no longer with us now, apparently Norman Scott is still wanting justice. A great drama, if you missed it go and catch up as it is worth a watch. I made the mistake of watching Secrets of the Chocolate Factory: Inside Cadbury. Well I say mistake it wasn't really as it was so interesting learning about a little company that originally sold cocoa drinking chocolate and now 200 years later is one of the most famous chocolate producers in the world. It just made me want to eat loads of chocolate. Oh it showed you the original Flake adverts (love Flakes), the Milk Tray Man (love Milk Tray) and also the lady who has the one of the best jobs ever and that's chocolate taster for Cadbury.....if she ever resigns I will take her place!! It is a really interesting programme so if you didn't see it then go watch it. If on a diet you may need to hide behind a cushion, there is major obscene scenes of chocolate. Dairy Milk is my sons favourite and I actually cannot believe I shouted up to him to see if he wanted to watch it......his name is Charlie so you can guess how that sounded. We have a battle in our house as he loves Dairy Milk and I actually (don't tell Cadbury's) prefer Galaxy chocolate. Yikes! But to be honest it isn't a big issue if there is just Dairy Milk in the house......I'm not that loyal to Galaxy. Well guess who's back tonight........only Poldark!! Cannot wait!! Enjoy if you too are a Poldark fan and have a great week. Join me tomorrow for Music Monday but until then take care.
