Phew what a busy week, I've been out most of this week so have had to watch everything on catch up. I think I've seen all I want to see now. There is a lot going on not only on TV but life in general. I'm beginning to think I could probably write my own little series. Were we all happy with the Masterchef finalist? It was a bit close at the end which I didn't think would be the case. I really though Becky had it in the bag until she had such bad luck and became a little bit over ambitious. Angelica did deserve the crown though and I was really pleased for her. They all did well and what a great series this has been. The trouble with all these cooking programmes is that they don't half make me hungry. I'm sure I'm putting on pounds just watching them. I've been craving loads of caramel since watching Bake Off, my diet has been well and truly ditched this week. I get all inspired and want to bake and make food with proper oil and fat rather than Fry Light and rabbit food. I will get back on track but might leave rabbit food to the rabbit. I'm trying to stick with Doctor Foster although she is getting on my nerves a bit. What she doing having hanky panky with her ex! Noooooooooooo. I cannot seem to get my head around this series and do struggle with the whole storyline but I am going to keep watching because I'm wondering whether there is a twist to it all. Let's see eh? I'll probably be ranting in a couple of weeks about it and saying 'was that it?' That's how it feels at the moment but I'm hoping to be surprised and shocked. I watched the new comedy Bad Move with Jack Dee which was a bit of a relief from all the drama. It was funny and the characters are brilliant. basically Steve (Jack Dee) and his wife Sarah move to the country for a fresh start and get away from the hustle and bustle of Leeds. They do their best to get into work with Sarah as a landscape gardener but finding her first customer can only pay her in cake and Steve who is a web designer unable to get any internet installed into their cottage. They are quickly running out of cash and stuck in a home which they cannot afford to renovate or resell. Having been inspired by Escape to the Country and similar programmes Jack thought that it couldn't be all plain sailing when it came to these big moves so when he co wrote this comedy he included some great pitfalls that you may think people would come across when taking the plunge. There is an element of the Good Life in this with neighbours Matt and his family who are trying to live self sufficiently cutting out sugar and making yogurt, jams and bread. They are searching for the perfect country life, well you can imagine Jack dee's face already can't you. A bit of light entertainment so well worth giving it a watch. Are you watching Rellik? Well here's another one I'm trying to stick with to see what happens. I do quite like it but I get really confused with the 'rewinding the clock' bit. An original idea which is effective but I guess we are all just used to watching it forwards and not backwards. Saying that I still tend to nod off sometimes in the middle of a drama and then have to rewind it to see what happened so I suppose you could say thats the same thing. It's a good storyline though so I'll persevere and see if I get used to it. Let me know what you think and tell me about anything else you are watching that I've not mentioned. I'm still into Strictly and enjoyed the first show. Love the Rev Richard Coles for a laugh and I'm siding with team Joe McFadden, he's just so lovely and smiley....love him. That will be interesting as it continues. I also look forward to Sunday nights with Victoria. That's not my new friend it's the series about Queen Victoria silly. I went to see the film 'Victoria and Abdul' this week. It's a great, very emotional film but with a lot of laughs too so if you get chance give it a watch. Judi Dench is such a fine actress and plays Victoria so well. It a beautiful story which is supposedly based on true events which I found really interesting. Oh so going to miss Strike now, loved that but it will turn apparently next year. There is one more book in the series which I thought they may have done all three but no we've got to wait. JK Rowling please write more because I don't think I want that to end. So that's it for this week, thank you for reading and I will be back with Music Monday tomorrow so join me then. For now though take care.......
