I am watching the new series of The Durrells and it is as good as ever before. I am sad though that this will be the last series, no more after this one, nooooooooo!

Mind you all good things must come to an end and I am sure it will finish in style. I am so glad that this has been popular because it is great entertainment. There is drama, comedy and just an all over good feeling when watching this. The scenery is fabulous too, all that sunshine in Corfu, makes you want to go eh?

We have soaring temperatures here in the UK at the moment but it is the characters that make this series so complete. The programme is based on the autobiographical accounts by Gerald Durrell and his family life between the years of 1935 and 1939 so obviously the series has to come to a natural end but it is so nice that they got to complete the adaptation timescale from the books.

I suppose there are a few dark times ahead in this series as war is looming and we will see how that will effect Louisa and her family. I feel for that woman sometimes keeping everything together particularly through the tough times when they first moved out there from the UK. I'm so glad she has finally given that house a little bit of a lick of paint, there is so much that could be done but she's on a budget remember and I have kind of got used to the rustic look.

Will Louisa and Spiro ever get together? That's the big question. I know he has a wife but is it going anywhere? Oh for goodness sake, I do hope I am not left with disappointment and heartbreak. I think everyone wants these two to become a fully fledge official couple. They nearly did, it was looking promising at the end of the last series but alas, it was not meant to be. So frustrating!!

If you have not watched The Durrells then you really need to. I think it has been one of the best things on tv so go and catch up or buy a box set from Amazon (other retailers are available) and binge watch the whole lot. You will not be disappointed and you may well thank me for helping to make your entertainment life complete. You are very welcome.

Ok I am going to get stuff done so I can sit and relax later for the next episode. Join me again tomorrow for Music Monday but for now......

Take care and don't forget the suncream.......it's hot out there!!!!
