Big Slice of Cake

I had a big slice of cake
that much it made my tummy ache
A bit to rich and sweet to take
it was flippin' enormous for goodness sake

My own fault I know it's true
but it looked all fresh and beautifully new
It took me a long time to get through
but being so rich it left me wanting the loo

It was gluten free it has to be said
and I had added cream well I'm easily led
It should have been food or just a drink instead
but where's the fun in that ya a long time dead

It served me bloomin' well right
it's not the cafes fault for putting it in sight
My stomach must have stretched with all of it's might
to allow for this olympic portion to make my trousers too tight

There's a phrase that states eyes are bigger than ya belly
I don't have that switch which says I'd be better off with just jelly
So I put up with my tummy that got a bit swelly
Next time I'll stay in and sit by the telly
