Leave Alone the Male Voice Choir

Why can't we have a male voice choir?
Have the women gone a little bit sour?
I'm all for rubbing shoulders with the guys
but give them a break, it's ok in my eyes

So shall we invite men into the WI?
I bet that wouldn't go down well - just you try
Sometimes I think equality has gone too far
let the men sing their manly repertoire 

They sing very low, too low for some gals
and that's ok we can still be good pals
There are other choirs where ladies can go
our Rock Choir is mixed and around if you didn't know

I've sang alongside the Derbyshire Constabulary Male Voice Choir
they are brilliant, sound so rich, a change they don't require
So leave them be, leave their name as it is
For a good many years it has been like this 

Why do we feel the need to fix something that ain't broke?
The laws of equality, good grief it's no joke
But really is it that important to conform?
Let it be Chief Constable and let them perform
